Jay Robb’s 3 Day Fruit Flush Detox Diet Review – Does It Work?

These days we are constantly bombarded by the newest matrix plan or product. The latest one is called The 3 Day Fruit Diet by Jay Robb. According to Jay, his body can be cleansed of toxins through special combinations of natural foods and fruits. If you follow the 3 day fruit diet, the toxins in your body can be eliminated along with the excess weight. Does the 3 Day Fruit Diet really work, or is it just a gimmick?

Let’s first examine the diet plan. The plan lasts for 3 days and is quite simple: the first day is the day before the rinse, followed by two days of fruit rinse. Their meals consist mainly of fresh fruits and vegetables. In addition, you should also take a small amount of protein shake, lean protein (chicken, beef, or turkey), olive oil, or flaxseed oil. Jay Robb claims you can lose up to 9 pounds in 3 days!

However, I suspect that at best you can only lose water weight. This 3 day fruit dump is not a healthy balanced diet as it is extremely low in calories. It is not feasible in the long term. In fact, you may even gain all the weight back once you resume normal eating. You may also notice that Jay Robb doesn’t mention the importance of regular exercise.

Don’t get me wrong, I highly recommend that you increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables as they help improve your overall health. According to WebMD, you don’t need a diet or detox product to remove “toxins” from your body. It’s because your body does a wonderful job of cleaning itself naturally. However, you are encouraged to increase your fiber intake to improve bowel movement.
