Remembering the female bodyguards of Maummar Gaddafi

Muammaer Gaddafi no longer exists. He is dead and missing: part of the machinations of the American and Western powers. He ruled for a long time, almost 38 years, but was facing upheaval towards his later years. However, one thing we must give credit to Gaddafi is that he was against Islamic extremism and believed in the liberation of women. He was also a layman. Colonel Gaddafi did something that fueled the anger of Orthodox Muslims against him. This was largely due to his Amazonian brigade of female bodyguards, who guarded him around the clock.

The Colonel’s female guards did everything anathema to hardline Islamic followers. They wore makeup, which included lipstick, eye shadow, eyeliners, blush, and exotic perfumes. They wore caps and kept their faces uncovered. Dressed in colorful blue uniforms, the female guards were a picturesque sight with their high heels and pistols slung over their shoulders.

These Academy-trained female guards in Libya were carefully chosen. I was told that there was intense competition to be recruited as bodyguards for Gaddafi’s entourage and this is certainly a tribute to the 69-year-old dictator. One look at Gaddafi in his imposing Arab dresses shows him as a determined leader. Flanked by his female bodyguards, it certainly shows that the Colonel was a revolutionary in the true sense.

He faced orthodox Islam head-on, which forces women to remain in Burkha or Hijab. None of this for Gaddafi, whose female guards made the hearts of men around the world palpitate with envy at the Colonel’s fate.

The female guards made a great impression during their visits to France and Italy. They certainly looked professional. They must be, because in an assassination attempt on the colonel, a guard sacrificed his life for him and seven were wounded. Cool

and it certainly deserves our admiration.

I, for one, have nothing to do with Gaddafi, but he certainly scoffed at orthodoxy and that is why Islamic extremists were crying out for his blood.

Gaddafi personally selected the bodyguards. He had a wandering eye for young women, but that’s part of the game. The guards reportedly slept with him naked while others stood around his bed to keep an eye on him. Sadly, after Gaddafi was executed on the orders of the Americans, most of the girls had a very bad time. Many were raped and murdered and many had to flee into oblivion. All said and done, in my opinion, it was a glorious time when the Amazonian guards ruled the chicken coop.
