This article is a discourse on the Philosophy of poetry. Now what is poetry? Poetry is a picture of sounds and music of words. Poetry as defined by Wordsworth is a spontaneous outpouring of feeling. Ezra Pound’s poetry of imaginism defines it as an image that is: an image is an emotional and intellectual complex in an instant of time.

Here in this article I want to digress on poetry and provide new nuances to discuss the art form of poetry.

The ideas on Philosophy of poetry that I want to expose are: Igneous Ignition, Sedimentary Calisthenics and Metamorphic Catharsis.

Now what is igneous ignition? It is the ideational content of poetry. It is the rhythm of the words. It is a calligraphy of thought. It is music that works. Fiery ignition transforms the medium of poetry into a work of art. It is the figurative use of language. It is also intellectual and emotional production of the author. The poet weaves a marvelous thread. It is the daily representation of objects, thoughts and feelings in the art museum. Again it is the fulcrum of literature. Igneous is the fictitious representation of all that is matter in the reality of art. The igneous ignition is the aesthetics of a carnival.

Now, what is Sedimentary Calisthenics? It is the autobiography of poetry set to the music of words. From the autobiography arises the form of content that is the ego of the writer. And, from the person arises the style of the writer. The poet’s autobiography is placed in the museum of words. The author’s autobiography arises from the reality of perceiving everyday objects with the nuances of feeling. There is a preponderance of the artwork that translates the work into a creative medium of a carnival of reality.

Now, what is metamorphic catharsis? Metamorphic catharsis is the aesthetic experience of appreciating the art of poetry. It is also the development of the aesthetic feelings of the poet. With catharsis: words are transformed into images and thoughts are generated in images that are deified with figures of speech. It is the creation of literal content in the figurative medium, leaving space for the ideas of art to penetrate the thought process. What are aesthetic experiences and where do they come from? This happens when feelings, perceptions, moods, situations, dreams, thoughts become a vehicle of consciousness and acts as a sedative to hypnotize the word fetish into a narcissism of creation. The author’s metamorphic catharsis of appreciation is an interpretation of the realization that is placed in the mind of ubiquity.

Finally, I would like to summarize that the Philosophy of poetry encompasses three generational tools and they are igneous ignition, sedimentary calisthenics and metamorphic catharsis.
