SWTOR Guide

One of the most important parts of any game is the story within that game, so will SWTOR have an amazing and deep story? With Bioware behind the game, you would think. Bioware has recently developed the Mass Effect series and the Dragon Age series which, if you haven’t played, you won’t know how deep and interesting the stories of both games are. If you’ve played them, then you’ll know what to expect. Remember that Bioware is also the team behind Star Wars, Knights of the Old Republic, which also has an amazing sequel, both with great stories.

First impressions from the developers show that Bioware stops at nothing to ensure SWTOR’s story is as powerful as its other games.

First impressions are very important to the modern gamer. This means that games must also have powerful graphics. SWTOR once again does not disappoint, the animations in combat have been improved and the worlds look fresh, clean and real. Walking through these amazing worlds should be a great experience.

One of the most surprising releases was the buddy system that each class will have. Most MMORPGs have a pet class, but in SWTOR each class will have a unique set of NPCs that follow them around helping them mostly in combat, but also opening up more quests and quests for your character to complete. You will also be in charge of your equipment and skills.

This leads me to talk about SWTOR classes and abilities.

SWTOR classes:

• Republic Soldier
• Imperial Agent
• Contraband
• Bounty hunter
• Jedi Knight
• Jedi Consul
• Sith Warrior
• Sith Inquisitor

Abilities in SWTOR are made through a skill tree selection process, which helps you choose the abilities you’ll need to gain the abilities you want later on. Each class will have three skill trees with unique abilities on two of those trees, so not all Jedi Knights will be the same. You can place your Jedi Knight to damage and attack where another may have defense abilities to take damage.
